What is the sanitary diaphragm valve?
Sanitary diaphragm valves was developed for use in non-hygienic applications. Later on the design was adapted for use in the bio-pharmaceutical industry by using compliant materials that can withstand sanitizing and sterilizing methods.
This type of valve is a special form of cut-off valve. It’s opening and closing parts is a diaphragm made of soft material to separate the inner chamber of the valve body from the inner cavity of the cover and the driving parts. Sanitary diaphragm valve is widely used in hygienic winemaking, dairy products, beverages, and other food industry as well as the pharmaceutical field of aseptic conditions, to achieve the control of pipeline fluid and open/close tasks.
Type: Diaphragm Valve
Reference No.: AV-4
Sizes: 1/4" – 3"
End Types: Tri-Clamp, butt-weld ends
Grades: 304 – 316L
Operation: Manual, Pneumatic, Electric
Sanitary diaphragm valve performance advantages:
The main material of sanitary diaphragm valves is stainless steel. Adamant valves manufacture series of the stainless steel diaphragm valve. Our company can provide valve body and disc materials such as AISI 304 or AISI 316L, 304L and 316 materials according to your requests.
Sanitary diaphragm valve advantages:
1) Simple structure, consisting of only three parts: a valve body, a diaphragm and a cover
2) During the operation, the medium only contacts with the diaphragm, so the valve is not easily contaminated.
3) Suitable for transporting corrosive, viscous liquids
